Baby Bump was created in 2021 by Ioanna Sarakinou, a midwife, graduate of ATEI of Thessaloniki.

Ioanna is half English half Greek, fluent in both languages, but decided to stay in Corfu, where she grew up.

She wanted to be a midwife since she was a teenager, and, in 2012 was delighted to get into ATEI of Thessaloniki, Department of Midwifery. During that time she practiced at the Ippokratio Hospital of Thessaloniki as part of her coursework, and, in 2016 did her final clinical practice in Corfu Hospital. She graduated that same year. In 2018 she was hired as a midwife at Corfu General Clinic, where she worked for 3,5 years.

In the fall of 2021 she created Baby Bump, which aims to prepare and inform pregnant women about childbirth, and, the postnatal period.

In 2023, Ioanna became a KG Hypnobirthing Teacher, an antenatal program which is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives. Since May 2023, Baby Bump also provides a ‘’Hypnobirthing Course’’
